Zede is more than a food brand : Zede’s social initiative is dedicated to economically empowering mothers by hiring exclusively mothers and sourcing ingredients and products from mother-led households and businesses whenever possible. Through our sister company, Aspire Pan Africa Consultancy, we also equip mothers with home-based business training and the International Labour Organization Financial Education training to help them build sustainable livelihoods while caring for their families.

Sara is the founder and CEO of ZEDE , holding a Law degree from Jimma University and an MBA from the University of Gloucestershire, UK, with over 10 years of experience in business development, law, and restaurant management. She is passionate about preserving authentic Ethiopian flavors while building modern food solutions, and she is committed to empowering mothers through dignified work, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity.
Betelehem is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) at ZEDE, with a BA in Psychology from Jimma University and an MBA from Akmonlik College, Addis Ababa. She has over 19 years of experience in life skills training, women’s economic empowerment, and restaurant management. She is passionate about empowering women through practical skills development, entrepreneurship support, and creating sustainable community impact.
